The SeedSaucer was developed
for the individual who enjoys Birding in their back yard or balcony but wants
to avoid the mess that feeding wild birds creates.
The SeedSaucer's basin
catches spilled seeds and bird droppings to prevent them from dropping onto the
ground and sprouting. This means less lawn and weed maintenance! The protective
grid insert prevents the seed from falling out of the basin, keeping your lawn
healthy and rodent free. The Seed Saucer is also great for balconies and decks.
The SeedSaucer is
constructed from durable polypropylene suspended by corrosion-proof chains and
S hooks for easy hanging. The SeedSaucer is 16 1/4 inches in diameter, 3 1/4
inches deep & weighs only 1 1/2 lbs. The Basin has water drainage holes for
year-round use. In addition, the removable grid keeps the seeds from spilling
onto the ground in windy conditions. The Seed Saucer is adaptable to all
hanging bird feeders that do not have moving bottom parts and do not exceed 7
" in diameter.
All the hardware is
included. With your purchase you receive the saucer dish, screen, 4
jack-chains, 6 S-hooks, 1 eye-screw.
There are three types of
bird feeders with which the SeedSaucer works best: tube feeders, bird feeders
with trays not exceeding six inches in diameter, and wooden feeders not
exceeding seven inches in diameter.
The SeedSaucer can be
suspended using one of three methods. For tube feeders, simply place the S-hook
on the bottom rung. There is also an adapter chain & S-hooks included for
various other types of tube feeders that do not have a bottom rung.
For feeders with trays, a
chain and S-hooks are used to suspend the SeedSaucer from the bird feeder tray.
For wood feeders, simply
screw the supplied eye screw into the center of the bottom of the feeder and
hook the SeedSaucer onto it.
