The patented Squirrel Buster
technology is truly squirrel proof. Thousands of delighted bird lovers have

How It Works
Openings in the wire shroud
align with seed ports and provide birds access to the seed. When a squirrel
climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically forces the shroud down,
closing access to the seed ports. All squirrels and many large birds are
foiled, but not harmed in any way.
Patented Seed
Tube Ventilation SystemTM
Transparent seed tubes are like
greenhouses, they trap solar energy. Traditional seed tube cover designs block
the escape of heated air. The patented seed Tube Ventilation system in the
Squirrel Buster Classic permits humidity and warm air to escape through
waterproof vents at the top of the feeder.
The escaping air is replaced
with fresh air entering the seed ports and openings on the bottom of the seed
tube. The seed remains fresher and attracts more birds.
Perches Are
Removable
Squirrel Buster Classic can be
converted into a clinging feeder only, by removing the perches!
The absence of perches will help
deter large perching birds such as Grackles and Doves from using the feeder.
The Need for
Clearance
Remember, it’s the squirrel's
weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a
nearby foothold and avoid placing its weight on the feeder, it will be able to
access the seed. Allow for at least 16 inches or 40 cm of clearance around the
feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb onto the feeder triggering the
closing mechanism.
Negative Grip
Tube
The negative grip tube prevents
squirrels from grabbing the wire hanger with their hind legs, hanging down
alongside the feeder and defeating the closing mechanism.
Seed Level
Indicator
The bottom of the yellow Center
Post Cap marks the maximum seed level. Filling past this mark will impede the
shroud from closing. Do not fill past this mark.

Since you no
longer have to worry about squirrels, you are now free to locate your feeder
just about anywhere.
Position your feeder over your favorite window, by your deck or in a nearby
tree for those great close-up views of the birds.
